GENERAL INFORMATION
APPOINTMENTS.......................................
Please call to make an
appointment whenever you plan to come into the studio to insure undivided
attention and better service. Portrait consultations should be scheduled one
week prior to your sitting. The consultation is free of charge. The goal is
for you to express your ideas to the photographer, to discuss scenes for the
sitting as well as colors, clothing, props, and to give you final hints and
suggestions in preparing for your photo session. Please notify us in advance
if there are any changes. Please arrive 15 minutes early for your
appointment; take the time to make sure your hair, makeup, and/or clothes
are just the way you want them to appear.
HAIR...........................................................
Hair is a major
element of the portrait. It should look its best. Avoid changing hairstyles
unless it is necessary, and have haircuts done at least one week prior to
your appointment.
GLASSES...................................................
If you wear glasses,
to avoid the possibility of glare, ask to borrow a pair of empty frames from
your optometrist for your senior pictures, or remove the lenses yourself.
Tinted lenses will make eyes appear darker or hide the eyes altogether.
MAKE-UP...................................................
Make-up should be
applied as if you are going out for the evening. Bring your make-up along
with you for touch-ups, especially if you will be having clothing changes.
For the men, a fresh shave just prior to your sitting is best, because
facial hair cannot be retouched.
CLOTHING.................................................
Clothing should be comfortable, clean
and pressed. Choose colors that compliment you complexion and figure,
keeping in mind that dark colors have a slimming effect. Avoid sleeveless or
short sleeved shirts, this will cause the arms to appear larger. Its
often a good idea to bring an extra outfit or two, that way we can decide
together what will work the best. When picking your outfits, bring only the
ones that you know look the best on you.
PROOFS.................................................... There
will be a deposit required to remove the proofs from the studio. To
get your deposit back you MUST return all of the proofs WITHIN 2
